OpenRCT2 for MAC

Free, open-source remake of RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 for Mac: build and run your own amusement park. Needs the original game files.

OpenRCT2 Overview

OpenRCT2 is an open-source re-implementation of RollerCoaster Tycoon 2, the classic construction and management game. You build and maintain an amusement park full of rides, shops and facilities, and try to make a profit and keep a good park reputation while keeping your guests happy. You can play scenarios, which set an objective to complete within a time limit, or sandbox mode, where you build a freer park with optionally no restrictions or finances.

OpenRCT2 needs the original files of RollerCoaster Tycoon 2, which you can buy on Steam or GOG.com; it does not include the original game. It is made by the OpenRCT2 team and contributors and is free and open source under the GPL-3.0 license, with plugin support. Version 0.5.6 lets you recolour land surfaces and edges and adds 18 more colours. The Mac version is a universal app for Apple Silicon and Intel and needs macOS 10.14 or later.
